So decided to smoke a small Butt and some ribs yesterday. Ribs were for dinner last night and didn't stand a chance for a picture. Butt took about 9 hrs at 225 to 250. Having some friends over for college football watching tonight. What better with football in the falll than some pulled pork...

Looks great. Did some beef ribs a few weeks ago. Local butcher had a sign 2.29 a lb. Wife almost flew off the back of the Harley as I locked it up and pulled in. She was pissed. But after 4 hours of smoking heaven she forgave me. I am now hooked on beef ribs.
Do you have an Academey Sports near you? For $199 they have a smoker I believe made by Old Country BBQ based in Texas with some production done in Mexico. Similar style to the one you posted but much heavier gauge metal. It will hold the heat longer and probably serve your needs for many years.
