Look at what I just ordered!!!

I need to get some new furnace seal. I got impatient and applied it completely wrong. It stuck for a while, but the glue crystallized and it started detaching. If I do it again, I'll probably use a thin, flat board and some really strong clamps to help set it in place for a few days.

Look at what I just ordered!!!

Excellent choice. Thank the Mrs. and enjoy. It will need some mods, especially around the edges. I've posted this mod link somewhere else, but I'll put here in case you missed it. http://ikinya.blogspot.com/search/label/smoking It took some work, but it stays pretty consistent now.

What type of ribs does everybody do mostly?

Spares. I get a good deal on fresh spares pretty regularly at a local supermarket. I'll have to try BB's to see what I'm missing out on.

    Naming your smoker...

I like the idea. I'll have to give it some thought.

I did a small pork shoulder yesterday, too. Not very big at all, but DANG!!! It was GOOOOOOD!!! I cut it with a FORK! A FORK! MMmmmmm. Sorry, Beerivore, didn't mean to take steal any thunder from your thread. Just had to brag a little. I'm glad yours turned out so well. It looks good...

    I'm baffled...

Looks good, HH. I'm curious as to whether that's gonna use more charcoal. Let me know, will ya? I'm trying to figure out a way to capture more of the heat I see going out the top of the firebox, so I can use less charcoal.

    Free Tickets to Country Fever

I posted them on freecycle.com and got over 15 replies in less than an hour and a half! Wish I could have gone, but some other lady won two tickets, and wanted take her whole family. I'll be watching for it next time around.

    Free Tickets to Country Fever

I appreciate the compliments, but I just want to clarify that I only included the price as an indication of the type of event this is. For that price, this should be a pretty top-notch event. I'd sure hate for these things to go to waste. Please, someone take them.

    Free Tickets to Country Fever

I won a couple of one-day passes to Country Fever Festival in Pryor, OK for this weekend. I'd love to go, but can't. If there is anyone in or around the Fayetteville, AR area who would like them, let me know. If you live anywhere else and think they'll get to you in time thru the mail, I...

    New Smoking-Meat.com Logo in Progress

I'm w/ Squeezy on this one. HawgHeaven is getting really close, but make those designers earn their money. I really think the smoker needs the same width lines as the rest of the elements. It also looks more like it's saying "King-meats" rather than "smoking-meats". The logo should be...

One of the newest guys on the block here

I haven't used a cannister smoker. But I have a chargriller. Don't ask me what model, just accept that it is a chargriller. I like it, but had to make some mods. I work on the cheap, and can't weld, but I can tinker and drill holes... so I did. I like the chargriller because it is versatile...

    New Smoking-Meat.com Logo in Progress

That's what I'm talking about! Looking good. Now, what if you shrink "meat forums.com" to fit completely under "Smoking" and adjust it to balance beside the image. I'm not meaning this in any critical way. Just thinking out loud. Ze Artiste in me is pushing its way back up after being buried...
