This is my second time doing a brisket. Salt, pepper and just a little bit of chili powder and honey. Once it is done resting I will post the smoke ring.
Northern Virginia here!! Have not been a registered user here for every long, but you can't google smoked meat anything... with finding something go here. So I guess I have been using it for years!
It i steal but has a powder coat on it. I would set it up on some rocks and burn it out really good. Then I would oil it up just like you would a black stone and fire it up again, then repeat.
