I have both and with out a doubt the stick burner gets a lot more smoke flavor. Sometimes I don't even taste smoke flavor at all with my pellet smoker. That being said I love my pellet smoker. That wood flavor and moist meat is top notch. Its just not even close to the smoke flavor the stick...
I have done two smokes with this and have a few questions. The first was with jerky and I filled it up. I couldn't get temps over 130*. Is that normal? I then did a half a rack of ribs and a half a tri-tip. I put it in the sun and got 200*. They came out great but I would sure like to get...
I was wondering if I could use pelets in my BCS? I was also wondering if the bags of wood chips ever get to old. I have some bags that are a few years old and wondered if I could use them.
