    First baby back smoke question

I haven't had any problem with them at doing them at 2-2-1 with my temp around 235-250. They have plenty of smoke in them, a nice crust and fall off the bone.

One of the best purchases you can make...

One piece of advice that I always give to my buddies when they ask about smoking is to purchase a good digital, probe thermometer. I bought one that cost me around $25 at Lowe's. It is remote, wireless, and easy to use. I haven't had an issue with over/under cooking anything since I purchased...

    Smoking Pig Ribs

Do them late on Sunday evening (2-2) then stuff them in a cooler and load a bunch of towels on top of them. I've done this a few times and the heat stays in really well. You should be able to take them out the next morning and throw them in the cooker for the last hour or so if you want to sauce...

    Harley Davidson pedal bicycle

Nice find! As for the motorcycle sounds, we always smashed an aluminum can and wedged it where the top of the back wheel goes thru the frame. Probably wasn't the best on the tires but it made a really cool dirt bike sound!

    jeffs naked rub, finally purchased

The first time I made the rub, I made it exactly as the recipe called for. While I loved it, my wife and 3 year old daughter said it was a bit spicy for them. The next time I cut back on a few things and omitted one ingredient altogether ( I'm being careful not to give away any tips to Jeff's...

    Observations for the new folks

Very GOOD, TRUE advice! Numbers 4, 5 (especially 5!), 7, 9 and 10 are the best advice! I have lost count of how many times my wife's Granny has asked me to "bring some of them delicious ribs" over for dinner! My wife loves them and she wouldn't eat ribs at all before I started smoking!
