Post A Picture of Your COMPLETED Mini-WSM Here ! (Mini Weber Smokey Mountain, MWSM)

Finished my first mini yesterday thanks to all the info posted here. Used a SJG and the Imusa pot. Did a seasoning burn. It was 42 and windy outside and once it settled in the mini held around 240-250 for a few hours with the clay saucer diffuser in place. I ended up putting some chunks...

modifying propane smoker to natural gas - Vancouver Canada

Scooter, The below photo is supposedly taken from a copy of the manual I found online for a Masterbuilt duel fuel, it might give you some idea of where the orifice is. The view is upside down. Usually the plate that holds the knob and igniter to the legs has to come off to allow the orifice...

modifying propane smoker to natural gas - Vancouver Canada

Scooter, If your rig is anything like mine, the orifice would be where the propane shoots into the actual burner. This is usually part of the control know assembly. When I get back on my computer I'll see if I can find some of the images I found on the Web that helped me.

modifying propane smoker to natural gas - Vancouver Canada

I converted my Smoke Hollow 38 to NG a few months ago. I didn't take the time to find out what my water column on the gas line was and just took a stab at it, using a spare orifice, and the flame was too yellow. After starting out with another orifice and drilling up in one step increments, I...

How did you come up with your screen name?

Well, my real name is Sylvester, though I go by Buddy. sly is supposedly a nickname for Sylvester, so SlySmoke seemed a natural fit.

    Hello from RVA

Welcome Tim. I'm new as well and in Virginia Beach. Have learned lots here in the last month. Oh yeah, congrats on Stone Brewing deciding to set up their East Coast operations in Richmond. Wish it had been Norfolk, but at least it's in Virginia. Happy smoking

    Can I go to sleep?

+1 on the Maverick. My first smoke on 2 9lb butts started at 8PM, around midnight I had things stabilized to the point I felt safe nodding off, knowing the Maverick would wake me up if temps went too high or too low, or if the smoker caught fire! 18 hours later we had yummy pulled pork...

    First Fatties

Sorry, no before pics. Fatties were turkey Italian sausage, beef, sauteed onions and peppers with provolone. Wrapped in turkey bacon. Yea, I know, but gotta do the cholesterol check next month. Smoked about 2.5 hours at 250 in my Smoke Hollow 38 with mesquite. Crisped up the bacon under the...

Restaurant style burritos- a simple trick.

Boatbum, Cool pics. Your burrito passion is clearly evident. Your method probably gets better results, but for quick and dirty I've had decent luck with putting the tortilla in a slightly damp dish towel and popping it in the microwave for 10 or 15 seconds. Now I need a burrito 9786

    First Time Smoking Butts

Ok, so I failed on the post pull pics, sorry. Bark was a hit, folks were picking through the pan looking for bits with bark attached. I was lucky enough to sleep through the stall, so I didn't wrap, which contributed to the great bark. So the run run down was: Rub - brown sugar, white sugar...
