    I smoked about 6 lbs of uncased summer sausage yesterday afternoon. Tried one of the little ones and they turned out great. Going to vacuum seal and freeze most of it. A number of them are gifts and the rest are for winter enjoyment.

    Smoked some roast beef during the second half of the Husker game. It turned out great and helped me cope with yet another lose. This pretty much summed up how I felt after the game.

    About 12 hours in. I'm adding my third batch of, and bottom of my last bag of, charcoal. Sitting outside after another Husker lose nursing my sorrows with some beer.

    It is a beautiful morning sit outside with some coffee and fire up the smoker. Smoking a pork butt to pull today. Most of it is going to get froze for chili this winter. Had it on for about a half hour right now. Going to throw some beef on later today for dinner.

    ribs in the oven?

    When I want just ribs I smoke some stuff for the freezer, my dad or my in-laws as well. A full smoker is a happy smoker.

    Looks like a good smoke. Leftovers are never a bad thing. I am doing a smoke that I'd 80% freeze for the winter today. Ha!
