    I would double check the temp you are cooking at. I have used this method several times in my Cookshack smoker and you can slide the bone out of the meat with no trouble.

    Temp drop overnight

    Should not be a problem other than adding a little more time to the cook. I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago, all turned out great.
