I have used the Taylor's for a number of years. Typical price is just under $20. They seem to last about 2 years for me before they die and give funny or no readings. My current one just died, and so I sprung for the ET-732 that Todd is selling. It costs more, but hopefully will last longer...
It was $2.29 per pound.
We have two targets within 10 miles. One has a full grocery section and other one has only limited things. Neither is called a "Super Target". I talked to a guy at the Target that had only limited grocery items and he said his store was going to convert in the spring.
I recognize that snow blower -- Ariens, self propelled, two stage. After we got 40 inches here in Maryland last year, I bought one for this season. So far, we've not had that much. Worst was 8-12 inches of *VERY* wet snow. It caused a lot of broken branches in trees all around town. Snow...
$2.29 per pound, sale ends on 5 Feb though. At the Target's with a full fledged grocery area.
I got two cryovac packs. Put them into the freezer for later after the snow melts some.
As usual, Todd has lots of good info to share. Even better than a sealed bag is a left over juice jug -- I drink a lot of Ocean Spray Cranberry mixes and keep the empty jugs to store sawdust in. It was a suggestion I picked up from a post here. Just remember to label the jugs as to what is in...
I agree that this should be considered a nonsense suit, and that the woman ought to be suing her husband's business (for letting an unqualified person operate dangerous machinery).
I suppose the next thing will be someone trying to sue Jack Daniels because they got a DUI and/or hurt someone.
I have a MES30 that is more than four years old. It has had some problems over the years, but it is still going and doing great smokes for me. If I were buying a new one today, and if I were a SAMs club member -- I would definitly go with their MES40 with its various features. But then, I am...
We recently bought a new kitchen scale from Amazon. We like it a lot for our purposes. Here is the link to it the current listing, with a lot of reviews. Price is now at $25, free shipping.
It does measure up to 11 pounds, and to fractions of an ounce. It has the ability to zero the...
What that looks like to me is a triangle shape that you put over the vertical dividers. Is that right?
BTW -- Several weeks ago, I was smoking something and my MES quit (don't remember if it was when the controller died or a heat coil connection). I moved the food (think it was salmon) to my...
I echo the thought that you should not give up on the AMNS. Plenty of people have adapted to use it in hot smokes. PLUS -- it is great for cold smokes, e.g. cheese.
Here is another "cold" thing. This is appartently a viral video from Yellowknife, NWT (I actually have a friend who lives there).
System won't let me paste the video, but here is the link:
I can say that my wife is happy. She was born and raised mostly in Wisconsin, and is a GB fan. We now live in Maryland, and Ravens is her second choice.
I'm not a fan -- just watch (or nap).
