    Lang 36 patio/YoderCheyenne

Dan, I've had my Lang 36" patio all summer, and yes shipping charges are steep, but you'll forget about that after your first couple of smokes.  I'm still a nub and each cook gets easier.  She warms up easy and once there is easy to maintain.  I can't compare the Yoder as I have no first...

Continuing on... Probed at 4 hours in. Pork shots, scallops already gone! Sliced up and enjoyed. I think I'm getting better with the Lang.  Once she settles down where you want her, she cruises. I have to do some traveling for the rest of the month but looking at new recipes to try...

Wanted to get a few of the neighbors over for a Sunday meal so I could practice on the Lang. Wife kicked in with her green beans, next door potatoes, across the street corn. I also threw in bacon wrapped scallops and pork shots for appetizers. 12lb on sale with salt and pepper. Ready to...

What did I just create??!! A few questions/concerns at the bottom

sb1234, My first smoker is made out of plywood, and like chilefarmer I burn gas and use a cast iron pot for smoke. I've never pushed her to 350*F in fear of the glue in the plys weakening.  I don't think charcoal would be a safe alternative to gas or electric heat source. But...you have a...

    My new smokehouse

AlexQc, Your father is very talented tell him thank you for a wonderful gift.  It looks perfect. I am a BBQ pimp so here is my  2 cents worth, 1) Save your a-maze-n for cold smoking, get a cast iron pan with a lid and drill holes in the lid.  Place over your burner.      Add your favorite...

    Question lang 36 patio owners?

sacedbysapp, I chop saw my firewood to "fist" size before a smoke.  Then I get a roaring fire going with normal (13") splits. I knock the coals down when my CC gets to about 350*F, spray clean the inside knocking the temp down to 275*F then start cooking and throw "fist" chunks to maintain...

Its Time to buy a new smoker...Ordering a Lang

Aaron, I've had my Lang 36 for 4 months now.  I will try to give you some input to your questions. 1) The answer Ben Lang gave me "...if you are going to cook away from a kitchen (remote site) then get the deluxe for sides". 2) My top rack slides out...I think all 36"s now have a slide out...
