To your point, I am the same way. When someone calls any ole backyard cooking (hamburgers and hotdogs) a BBQ. Or when they call any ole grill (gasser) a BBQ...... I CRINGE lol. Hell, you can do pancakes on a grill in a skillet. Not sure if that's a good idea but is that BBQ!? I guess different...
I am right there with you my friend. I am hoping for an end of the year sale or something. I got it picked out but just can't spend the money right now.
I have a TP-03 as well and I have compared it to the thermometer that comes with the Traeger Pro series and they both read very close. I will keep my $14 thermometer until it breaks and then get this new one.
Those look good! I was going to by the Pro 22 this past weekend and ended up walking out with the pro 575. I got it seasoned and ready for its inaugural smoke for this weekend. Maybe 2 butts should be "Reggie's" maiden voyage as well
10-4 thanks. The MES 30 is inconveniently small. I have to trim full racks of ribs or cut them in half- which I do not like to do. I got the 30 new for an amazingly low price so I can deal with it. I use it a couple of times a month if I can get away with it.
SmokinVOLfan, what brand/ size rack did you use for the moinks? I have been trying to find some that will fit in my MES30. Food looked great by the way!
This is my go-to forum for answering my questions. I have been reading here for a couple of years and decided to make an account. Looking forward to chatting with everyone and getting more helpful advice.
