Well, with Saturday being a beautiful day, and a whole day of outside chores planned it seemed like a good day to do up a batch of yardbirds. I put the word out to the family and friends and chickens started showing up around 9:00. By the time I lit the fire at 11:30, I had 7 victims lined up...
Yard Bird. Whenever I do chickens, I put the word out among the family and friends and people start dropping chickens off. I'll probably have about 8 birds on tomorrow. If I have any rack room left, I'll probably do a rack of spares too.
TripleB - Have you done one of those prime briskets...

Congrats man. That low carb diet is the real deal. I am lucky not to have the big D, but I have dropped about 30 lbs over the last year cutting out the sugar and starches. Any diet that lets me eat ribs every weekend is A-OK with me.
Mal,
I was in the same boat as you not long ago. I looked at all of those smokers at the big box stores, and I just couldn't make myself pull the trigger. The quality just wasn't there and I knew I wouldn't be happy in the long run. After doing a bunch of homework, I had a smoker built by...
