    OK HERE GOES, THIS QUESTION MAY MAKE ME LOOK LIKE A FOOL, BUT IT WONT BE THE 1st TIME

    my thinking is it would do well for heat control, everytime I add coal or wood, I get a 50 degree heat spike for 15 to 30 minutes, and the temp probe in an oven with the control box, would hold the heat at a set temp, I HOPE!

    Has anybody ever thought of, or has done a convert from coal and wood horazontal smoker to propane?, I am thinking of gutting an old stove/oven and putting the burner into my sidebox, and using a chip box for the wood, it could be temp controled and set it and forget it ( kinda ), it sure seems...
