Thanks slip away, If I cant find a local source or online source for 16" splits then I think Bass Pro mini logs will work for me. The price and delivery is not to bad either.

    16" long wood splits

I have been searching on the forum and online for 16" long wood splits to buy, but everything I find is a bad link, just chunks or mini splits, ETC. I am sure the info is here but almost impossible to sift thru all the non relevant results. I am near Annapolis MD so if there is a local place I...

Steak fajitas on our new toy, lot's of q-view

@SmokinAL Thanks for the post I like the setup you got and am now looking into these. I see the camp chef one can also convert into a gas grill, have you used this a grill yet? Easy to convert? I am trying to decide between this with the grill feature or the Blackstone that appears to be only...

Doing some baby back ribs tomorrow...suggestions please.

Like Jets said, 2-2-1 is the preferred method for baby backs but if you like your ribs more completely fall off the bone style then competition style 3-2-1 will work as well. During the 2 hour wrapped time you can add some things to the foil like apple juice or other seasonings you like.

    New Toy + (season?)

Thanks Red, I did my burn in and realized something was way off. After checking with boiling water it turned out to be my Maverick ET-732. I am disappointed as I have only used it 4 times and it is way way off 50F. Hopefully they will replace the BBQ probe under warranty. Throwing the bacon on...

    New Toy + (season?)

After burn in, Rec Tec was ok with some Pam on the inside of the smoker when I season it by smoking some bacon. Apparently there may be some ash floating around on the first cook and this will help to keep it down until it is seasoned. I am still open to any suggestions ideas anyone may have on...
