I've smoked a few hamburgers in my day, and ground beef will absorb a lot of smoke and I've found that it's really easy to "over smoke" them. The best smoked hamburgers I've had were done on a regular charcoal kettle grill with a few water soaked wood chips thrown on the coals, and cook with the...
Thanks everyoen for the compliments.
I'm going to be doing a few more before the year is done, and I'm thinking of doing 2 of them for a football tailgate party on my Weber Kettle. I'm going to do the veggies the exact same way, and slice the TT thinner and wrap in torilla's with the veggies...
Don't know how I missed this thread, but those tri-tips look great!!! I'm hooked myself, they don't take long to prepare and the flavor is awesome.
Good job,
Thanks Piney, what I really liked about doing a TT is that it takes only a few hours and the rewards are plentiful.
I forgot to mention it was richosol that gave me the idea to finally try this. I'd heard of TT before but only from my friend from CA, but it was richosol put me over the top to...
If you've never smoked a Tri-Tip (TT) I suggest you put it on your list, this was one of the best smokes I've done so far. My friend is from California and he couldn't talk enoug about TT's, so I found one and did it.
I bought a 2½ lb TT and soaked it in a basic marindae for 24 hours. Sliced up...
Nice looking Red Fish, I thought about buying a kayak for fishing, but none of my friends are interested in doing it, if it don't burn gas it isn't from them.
I thought that was you Dad at Oneco's but I was right in the middle of placing my sub order. Scott set me up with a nice Tri-Tip and...
I've noticed that Vlap hasn't been around the boards lately. He turned me on to a great local butcher shop near my office that I've been going to lately for my meats. I just realised that when I was there earlier today to pick up my Tri-Tip that I might have ran into his dad, (Mr Martin?)...
Welcome Irish, you've joined a great site with great people, I haven't seen one question answered in a slanted or demeaning way on this site. Feel free to ask anything, and take the Free 5 day e-cousre, lots of good info.
I'm basically a professional tailgater, I've been doing all the cooking for our group for the last 10 years, Bucs fans know how to tailgate. Just remember to give yourself some time to cook the loins. Betwen prep, pre-heating the smoker, smoking and resting and eating, you'll be surprised how...
Glad you're starting to feel better, your first post had me a little worried.
+1 !!!
My girl and I broke up just before we both left for college, we were in love and thought we would be married, but we knew that we couldn't be apart that long. Once the clouds cleared, it was the best thing...
Welcome, and don't forget to check your local classified's and flyers for used smokers. I got mine for $50 and I like it alot, plus you don't feel bad about cutting or modifing a used smoker like you might a new one.
Welcome!! Ahh the " to clean or not to clean, that is the question". I always clean my grates and wipe up the fat that made it to the bottom, but that's about it.
