Up here in Canada you never see brisket in the grocery stores and our costco doesnt have it. Not sure where it all goes, but i havnt seen one for sale ever. But I made a friend who works as a foreman for a large custom meat packer and I told him i wanted a few briskets to try and today...
I have a batch going right now , that has been slowly simmering for 2 hrs and I'll I have to sat is " Wow this is making me hungry!" I think the guy above must have burned his batch, cause mine smells heavenly!
The true test is always a day or 2 later when all the flavors have a chance to merge...
This is one of my favorites! But I I tweaked it a tiny bit. Use 1/2 can 7-up with 1/2 can water, use a corona( huge diff in taste), and a good tequila( I like repasado) 100%agave is the way to go.

Woke up yesterday to an inch of snow and 30 degree temps. I thought this is stupid for Mid april (and why do i live here??), but the ribs have been resting in Jeffs rub overnite......So I said WTF!!.......Lets smoke. Got my smoker last fall and only used it twice with not the greatest results...
