    Pulled Pork

Hey All, Tomorrow for my sons birthday party I am planning on smoking 3 butts. Right now they have been in the refrigerator since Tuesday morning (Should have pulled them out Monday morning or even Sunday night). It is looking like in a couple hours here will have to get them under some cold...

    Total Fail on Spares

The ThermoPop and the Thermal Pen work wonders for getting temps on ribs. Also if you are in the market for a thermometer, the smoke actually has a small probe that will fit between the bones also. The probe runs $16 and can be found on the site... Other than that I agree with everyone try the...

Questions Before Trying First Boston Butt Smoke

Just as match said you will get varying answers. Really it comes down to personal taste. As far as fat cap on I personally leave it on, and place it fat cap up, and then...

    App-Enabled Digital Thermometers

I personally love my Thermoworks Smoke. Right now they do not have the gateway out to add the temps to your phone. But it does come with a a receiver that has excellent range throughout the house and yard. The probes are very durable and accurate as well. I highly recommend this unit.....

    Question about Traeger/Pellet Grills

Just like bregent said above. The hotter your temp is set to, pellets burn more efficiently. Pellet cookers in general provide a very mild smoke to the meats when you smoke them as is. People always complain that they cant taste the difference between different flavored pellets unless it is...

    Smoking in the Napa Valley!

Welcome to the board. Lots of great info and people on this site.  I have the Traeger Pro 34. I can say that I have been quite happy with my unit over the past year. No issues with it at all. You will hear a lot of complaints about temp swings with the Traeger controllers. Personally I am...
