    I would of checked the meat temp to make sure it was 40*f or below but many people my self included refreeze meat you don’t say how it was packed cryovac, butcher paper, etc. I would give it the smell test when you go to use it

    Not sure on your controller but ice in refrigeration is like cancer if you don’t remove all of it it grows. on a refrigerator it relies on off cycle defrost most of the time. I would defrost all the ice and turn it back on and make sure it cycles at the proper temperature, and doesn’t constantly...

    What snake said I use ground venison and a jerky gun so no way to soak. I just marinate over night then send it no complaint. If the person that gave you the meat process it properly you are good. You can soak and rinse next time obviously good luck

    We tried a few can’t remember the names but IMO the bbq joints were the worst. Don’t know if im picky a better cook or a little of both. Whenever we went on vacation we would do the triple d trying to add to the experience. I won’t say it was bad just not impressed en to frequent if I were a local.

    I have used the powder from sm and could never get any heat the more I added changed the flavor , but never added heat.
