Actually, Dad asked for a electric slicer for F-Day. But a new smoker would work just fine.
Here is the pic of the final product. Not bad for doing all of this on the grill. I suppose the grill was happy it got the lime light today rather than the smoker! (note, more than half the ABTs are...
Well, here is how my first attempt has gone. Check out the link below to another thread. You will see why! I think I have given up on electric smokers and going back to the real thing.

I mean that figuratively and literally. Today I planned to do my first meatloaf on my smoker. I got it all mixed up, got some ABTs ready and I was also going to smoke some corn on the cob. I went outside to my electric smoker, turn it on, set the time and temp. When it had climbed up to 200...
Hi folks. I have yet to try doing a meatloaf on the smoker and I'm looking for advice? Anyone care to share his or her favorite recipe. I have seen where people do them stuffed and unstuffed. I want to make sure I just don't end up with a blob of ground meat that is mushy. Thanks for any help.
Going to friend's house for the game. I'm smoking 2 - 5lb butts, two fatties and I will make about 24 BBQ tator skins.

Well, I just rubbed down two 10 lb pork butts and stuck them in the fridge. I'm going to start them tonight and pull them off around lunch time tomorrow to pull them for a Super Bowl party. I'll do a couple fatties as well. I also think I'm going to make BBQ potato skins. Q-views will come as...

Here is my humble entry. This is my smoke for Labor Day weekend. A pork butt, brisket, and two chickens. How much fun can you have and end up with such a full belly? GOD I LOVE SMOKING!!!
Here are the finished pics of the brisket and pulled pork. Sorry, no pics of the fatties.
Have a great Labor Day weekend and enjoy your BBQ, family, and friends!
Welcome on SMF!!! We look forward to seeing some pics of your smokes. I can tell you that this is the best place to ask questions and for showing off your talents. Have fun!
Chix rocked!!
Fatty time. Here is a pic prior to going on. The one with a toothpick in the mild version (for the kids).
The butt and brisket are holding at 165F and doing awesome.
I think a coooold beer is in order for my hard work thus far...
