Welcome my favorite emulsified sausage and friend... Look forward to seeing what you come up with on your smoker.. I have a vertical propane smoker that I'm thinking about adding an optional firebox to the side so I can go to competitions.. Most do not allow electric or propane smokers. Ugh...
I just ate and my mouth is leaking! Nice work Ross.... My next project will be a rib roast.. Nothing beats it! Happy Smoking, Smokin - K
P.S. What kind of smoke did you throw at them?
That sounds awesome Girl-Friend! Whats even better is when I tell my wife where I'm headed for the day, I can say I'm heading to Mollala to hang out with "the girl friend". She's not very jealous of a person but it might get her to snap her head... LOL! As this group builds it will be good to...
Nice job...! Did you like the wood choice you picked? I start smoking my whole pork leg tomorrow a.m. I did a search to research what smoke to use and I can across this post.

Glad you guys could join in on the fun! I just landed a nice steelhead a couple weeks back... Waiting for the time to smoke half of it up and eat the other half for dinner... Resting peacefully in my freezer. Spread the word to any you see on the forum pages that we are ready to smoke it up...
Uhmgood,
I think I can answer your questions. Correct me if I'm wrong (anyone)... The original one burns dust and does not have enough side ventalation for burning pellets. The new design has sides of the maze that are tent shaped to allow more side air flow.. I own both as I like to use...
Us Oregon folk need to stick together...! I'm going to send you an Invite to the "Oregon Group" Team C... BTW Nice looking Bird! Happy Smoking, Smokin - K
I know there are only 3 of us signed up but at some point I would like to visit the idea of getting a Oregon / SW Washington smoke out planned.. I live in Portland and wish I had the land for such an event but think we could reserve a covered area in one of the parks here locally. Let me know if...
Thin blue smoke... Not rolling like a Cheech and Chong movie.. You can get creasote on your meat by over smoking.. Real bitter.. Todd Johnson would probably love to sell you a AMPS... The cure for over smoking! K
Nice bark...! It sounds like you didn't have much leftovers but if you do the wife and I like to vacuum seal the PP in pint jars and then freeze them.. A couple pints of Pulled pork and a 1/2 pint of BBQ sauce and the wife and I are off to the races! Looks awesome and keep up the good smoke...
Nice work Joe...! I agree with Ross that you should get something out of the deal... Smiles are nice but they don't pay for your time (Or so I'm learning)... Happy Smoking, Smokin - K
P.S. My dad just built a new drift boat trailer and he recessed his break lights. You could do the same by putting a 2 x 4 steel tub across the back of your trailer and cut in some oval / oblong LED lights (tottaly move them). I'll see if he will take a pic for me.. Smokin - K
