    Exhaust Extensions

A taller stack does increase the draw like others have been saying. My suggestion is to season it and run it as is for awhile and see how it cooks before making any mods to it or any smoker. Try a biscuit test on it is the best way to see how it cooks.

What was the last concert that you went to?

He came up on youtube the a couple of weeks ago. He's different, wife and i got a good chuckle out of a few of his songs. He did the theme songe to Gilligans island to stairway to heaven. He's actually pretty talented, not sure I get the clown outfit

What was the last concert that you went to?

Primus would be a great show. Here lately the wife and I have been hitting the small venues so we see several every couple of months, I think the last was Sierra Ferrel or Brothers Comatose

    Wood blends

Welcome from NC, I run an offset stickburner, I think you'll find that typically people use what's locally available. In my area oak and hickory are plentiful so that's mainly what I use. I do have some apple and maple as well, those came from a couple of trees we took down last year. I usually...

First Time: Buy Offset Wood Smoker or Pellet Grill Smoker?

I can't answer for @yankee2bbq but you have a smokehouse which means you don't mind tending a fire which leans toward the offset, and you don't like your gasser which leans toward the set it and forget it idea of the pellet cooker.

    Sondiko camp torch warning. fire

I had a similar experience not as exttreme with mine. It started to melt around the area where yours caught on fire and the flame started to fan out more than I wanted so I ditched it and went back to my trusty sodering tourch

What tools does a beginner need after getting an offset smoker? (BUDGET minded)

Looks like everybody has a given you great advice so far. Only advice I have is don't go to crazy getting gadgets yet. Get a good thermometer, some fire management toos and a set of tongs. Then start cookin, after a couple of cooks you'll start to figure things out and then you'll have a better...

    Calling all plumbers

I've put pex in attics before and had no issues. Pex is great stuff. It expands extremely well. You can buy it in a roll so there are minimum joints in the attic. I'm not sold on shark bites but have used them. I typically use the crimp fittings, you need to be careful with those also because if...
