    It should still be good. Some stores will take the cellophane wrapped meat and rewrap them and put a new date on them. The dark color is just the meat aging. If it doesn't smell funky, it should be okay.

    .223 should be a tack driver. That is a flat shoot very fast cartridge. I would look and make sure that my barrel was free floating. We use a .223 a lot for varmits.

    By all means that is the scary part. One more vote and who knows what we would be facing now. Having grown up with a grandfather who is a gunsmith, I am grateful for this ruling. Now I think I will go clean my guns! A .40 isn't a bad option at all for personal protection.

    Underground pit cooking

    We do a lot of pit cooking when we go camping. Last time we had a big get together we had 7 dutch ovens full of roasts and stuff. I swear I had to cut and burn dang near a cord of oak! I love putting it in the hole and going fishing for a few hours. A great way to have great food!

    DLites, we are having snow up here. Been snowing or raining all day. Went out in the forest a little bit and the roads are very muddy. Crazy weather. Went from 90+ to just over freezing in a few days.
