Well Its been a while since I posted some Qview. Heres a couple chuck roasts that Ive been Qing today. I injected them with BBQ sauce, garlic and beef broth last night and rubbed them down good with Meat Magic. Smoking at 235* using apple and hickory. Here are some pics from when I pulled them...
With one drumstick and less than two wings per person I'd say you'll need around thirty pounds of brisket, at least you will if your friends are as fat as mine. Oh and I hope you have plenty of sides.
Congrats on the new smoker, if I were you I'd check out the smoker mod sticky. There are lots of good mods for your smoker with pics. You should do a couple smokes with the factory setup that way you can get an idea of what mods would soot you best. As far as breaking it in just crank it up to...
I'd say there's a good chance you got the 20" wide body and not the big block. As far as I know Wallyworld has never sold the larger 24 big block model. The 20 is great though no complaints with mine.
Nice set up you have there, I just wanted to say around 180* isn't even close to being hot enough for chicken. There are plenty of threads on chicken that may be able to help you out.
Its a couple of hours later and here I am back with more Qview. Everything turned out great, tasty and very juicy. I have a house full of very happy people here now mostly due to the wealth of knowledge Ive learned on the SMF. Thanks for watching.
