    Hi Mountain rubs and seasonings

I have used the hi mountain jerky stuff for making goose jerkey.  I used the sweet BBQ and anyone that tried it guessed it was either venison or beef.  THey were suprised to find out it was goose.

13 lbs hot sticks & pepperoni

They look good so far.  Pepperoni sounds like something I should attempt to make soon.  May I ask what the purpose is to wrap the whole roni in butchers twine?

Oh the weather outside is frightful

I wish it looked like that here in Michigan.  We have had rain and we have lost most of our snow and what little ice on the lakes we have is going fast.  At least it should be alright to smoke today.

    what was your first kill

We still have great grandpa's gun.  There is no way we would ever get ride of it.  It is not that old though.  He bought in back in the 60's or 70's if I remember right.

    what was your first kill

My first kill that I can remember was probably a piegon out of my grandpa's barn with the pellet gun when I was little.  I think I recall my dad had to take the pellet gun away because there were piegons everywhere on the ground.  I guess I was a pretty good shot when I was little.  Shot my...

    Canned Craft Beers

There is a brewery here in Grand Rapids Michigan that cans their beer.  Brewery Vivant has some excellent beer and I was very suprised to find them in cans and not bottles.  I have never saw that before.

    BBQ Comps?

Anyone know of any BBQ competitions that go on throughout the state?  Even if they are small in size I would be interested in going to one to learn some and take in the atmoshpere.  I googled it and only found one up in kingsford and one that was in G.R. this year.

    WHAT TO SMOKE NEXT?!?

Thanks for the replies!  I read all kinds of threads last night.  I actually did not know what a fatty was until last night.  I think a breakfast fatty looks great with potatoe, bacon weave, cheddar, and onion.  Truthfully, every suggestion sounds great!  I am sure Sunday I will smoke something...

    WHAT TO SMOKE NEXT?!?

Ok guys and gals,  I am new to smoking meats starting in July 2012.  I have currently done beef ribs, brisket, and baby back ribs.  I have also done jerky and snack sticks, but I want to try something new for a main dish for lunch or dinner one night.  What should I try next?  I have been...

    Best Oink Grill Goods

I love BBQ so I have to go with some baby back ribs on the smoker.  Since I started smoking it is rewarding doing the whole process instead of going to a BBQ place and just ordering some.
