6:30 am probes at 196 & 180! 7 hours. Checked the temp chart and there was no stall throughout the night.
I dont know why I did it, but I bumped the smoker temp down to 225 at that point and went back to bed.
Now at 8:45 am raised the heat back to 275. Probes at 198 & 185. Will see how much more...
Really?! That would be great actually, hoping that I can find a good rhythm to do maybe 5-6 butts a couple weeks before the party. I have 4 in the freezer still and will add a couple before July.

For this smoke I'm doing a 10# butt on my MES40. Planning on higher heat (thanks for the suggestions)...
We did wings in the Ninja 2 basket last night, though I neglected to get pics. Will for sure next time. Yeah, they tout filling the baskets all the way up. Says 4 lbs of wings - PER BASKET! Says it takes 65 minutes. No thanks.

Love smoking eye of round, done it a few times now and never disappointed. Great job!
By the way, on a little crusty bread with some horseradish mayo, some arugula, maybe a nice thick slice of homegrown tomato... oh man. If ya like that kinda stuff!

We've had an air fryer for a few years and did some OK wings in the past in it. The wife decided to buy the new Ninja 2 basket air fryer and it's coming next week. I'm definitely going to try this Bear, thanks!

Wow, great information, thanks!! I think I'd be more apt to try this if we were having half the amount of people. I'm thinking I MAY be able to get 6 butts max in the MES40, so would need 3 straight days of smoking to be able to account for 150 people. I don't see that happening...

I've only used MES smokers. Have MES40 now and like it. Although I wish I had a setup that allowed for higher heat than 275. And a little char broil type cooking. But It suits me fine for now.
