Got shoulders from a couple of deer taken during the season and decided to give smoking one a try. Injected with beef broth, coated in yellow mustard and my BBQ rub. Layered the top with some of my home smoked bacon and smoked at 200-225° to IT of 147° before wrapping for a good rest. Very tasty...

Smoked on my masterbuilt 40 with hickory. Also smoked some Dutch's wicked baked beans and kicked the wife's mac & cheese recipe up a notch by smoking it. Thanks BearCarver for the step by step. Awesome as always!!!!
Brined half of a boneless pork loin in Pop's brine for 3 weeks. Smoked at 225 for 4 1/2 to 5 hours witg Jack Daniels Oak Barrel chips. Came out awesome if i do say so myself(wife said so too!)
Mustard and homemade rub. Spent the night in the fridge. Lit the pit at 0545 this morning. Meat on at 0605 with apple wood.
1118--- internal temp 144 degrees.
1450--- internal temp 165 degrees. Pulled from smoke, placed in pan that had been under it all smoke with drippings and apple juice...
Hey guys. I smoked a small 2 pound brisket yesterday. Came out tasty, tender with a good smoke ring. Ran it around 225ish to IT of 160 then wrapped and back on to IT of 202. Pulled and rested about 45 minutes. I'm happy with it except it didn't really develop a bark. Any ideas?
First go at ribs on the smoker. ( 3rd smoke overall) St Louis style with Bilbo rub and a homemade tomato based sauce(Lexington, NC). 3-2-1 method with a combination of apple and hickory for the smoke. [
