I've read where you shouldn't use iodized salt. I've read it changes the taste of the sausage and leaves a bitter after taste. Table salt is all I've ever used so I don't know.
If a recipe calls for salt, are they normally talking about non-iodized?

I like spicy sausage. Is your recipe a little spicy? I bought a shoulder roast to make some sausage tomorrow. I'm wanting to try a new recipe.
I'm not a big bologna eater either, but I'll try it too. I have a can of Spam in the pantry waiting for its turn in the smoker. Don't really like spam either, but the wife does.

PigCicles, I closed all tabs and browsers then opened a new browser and typed in the URL. Logged in, closed browser and opened a new one, and I still had to log in. I tried it again and used my "favorite" link to the forums and still had to log is as well.

I've been looking at a lot of recipes for sausage and have noticed many call for a red wine, and a few white wine or beer. I have never added any of them.
Do you use wine in your sausage making?
I have done some windows XP upgrades. That may have something to do with it.
What is weird is I'm remembered on all other sites that require logging in.
