Estes Camroc Well Bear, that's the end of you growing weed gardens behind the house.

    Goal when building the fire?

Offsets are so variable that there are more than one ways to run them. Mine is a medium size (see my sig) and depending on what fuel I'm using I can sometimes have an open fire and run the right temps. The big trailer-mounted rigs do that. As mentioned above, keep the exhaust stack wide open. I...

Carolina Reapers are looking good. Fingers crossed for a bumper crop.

I haven't seen Poinsettias since the pepper field in Indiana. Those are the prettiest plants. I haven't grown reapers yet but I have ghosts for the second time this year.

    Pork blade steaks

My neighborhood grocery has the steaks and the "ribs" but they seldom have whole butts. I guess people don't buy them much. Since it's shoulder meat, a long slow braise would make sense. Or, maybe a fast hot sear, then slice it for tacos or something like that. As for sauce, experiment. You...

    Foil Tape???

I was going to say the same thing. I have that foil tape but I don't know how hot that adhesive can go.

    Foil Tape???

Do you have tin snips? If so, get some 24-ounce beer in an aluminum can. I'll leave it to you to determine the best disposal protocol for the beer. Cut the can up and you have sheet metal.

    Weber Kettle Stand

It seems that you are wanting something like a Weber Performer, a kettle built into a table that is a rolling cart. Go look at the Weber Kettle Club. It is easy to play at making replacement legs. First I tried 1-inch diameter steel conduit but it didn't fit in the sockets so I went with...

    Mrs Bear’s Gardens

You guys quit worrying about the deer and the hostas. I have some beds of them and they are becoming monsters. In the next two or three years they will cover the eastern half of the United States.

    7 Pounds of Breakfast Sausage

One thing I like about a breakfast sausage seasoning is you can start from there and go into Mexican or Italian flavors.

    7 Pounds of Breakfast Sausage

I'm on the verge of getting another shoulder and grinding a batch. Every time I make it, I think I'm adding too much salt, but I still haven't made a batch as salty as store-bought. Recently I've started adding a bit of rosemary. Do you weigh out your patties? I got a small digital scale, and...

    Cajun! ~ Foamheart

I wonder how many Cajun meat/sausage recipes and traditions can trace all the way back to how they did things when they were still in France. And what about fish? They must have fished in France and Nova Scotia, and some parts of Louisiana have water.

    Hey Guys

Nice! I still don't know how to run one of those.

    Cajun! ~ Foamheart

Maybe I have my history wrong. I thought the Cajun story went like this: The Adacians were French Catholics, and when France turned Protestant they refused to convert so they were exiled to French Canada. Go live with the godless savages. Fast forward, the British defeat the French (Seven...
