Like most emails of this nature, the truth is distorted. The posters weren't removed because a law was violated. They came down because it's against USPS policy to display posters and similar things that aren't official post office notices.
Saying it violates the law was just inserted to get...
You don't know anything about the subject, and asked here. You got overwhelming responses saying "Yikes! bad idea." But you chose to hear the one response that fit your needs.
It's not like you're picking and choosing over advice that says to foil your meat or not. We're talking about toxic...
Agree with pretty much everything 3monte has to say. The baste, or "mop" you use while cooking is generally much thinner than BBQ sauce. Some spritz from a spray bottle, I use a basting brush, but dab the meat with it. If you look at BBQ accessories, you'll actually see a small "mop" that can...
I was wondering if they added something to the mix when they make floor tiles too. Did you try and search google? I've know several people who used ceramic tiles a few times in their oven. But that certainly doesn't mean it's a good idea either.
I was taught to mop and then wrap in foil to finish.
Lately I've been reading a lot here where folks don't mop and foil, and it's supposed to be great. So the last butt I did I didn't mop or foil, and it was MORE moist and tender than all the other butts I've done. And the bark was better...
I agree with the above. As stated, it will take a little longer than cooking only one or two 5 pounders. Due to your cooker having to recover from putting 25 pounds of cold meat on at one time. Once the temp comes back up and stabalizes, it should be right on schedule. I can't see your sig line...
They look great. I've been on WW a couple of times over the years. If you follow the recipes carefully, the meals end up pretty good. My problem has always been once I reached one of my goals, I celebrated with a Pizza
You're in our thoughts. If it means anything, I do know what you're going through.
If your Mom is in the Hospice program, don't be afraid to lean on them for support, even after she's gone. The people at Hospice are god-sends.
They sound like bad news to me. And I've never really understood what a burn out is supposed to accomplish. That's not sarcasm. I really don't understand how fire is supposed to magically negate harmful chemicals. Not being a chemist I don't want to find out the hard way.
I don't work in metal, so I can only pass along what I've heard over and over. And that is to NOT use anything but stainless steel hardware for the grates and basket.
But again, I don't know about the others, but I don't work in metals.
Good luck with it. Long stalls seem to mean tender juicy meat, so it'll be worth it.
By the way, that doesn't look like a butt to me. It looks like a shoulder.
