    Fatback Joe... thanks for the link to the charcoal reviews. I found the stuff that I used and had the huge fire sparkler coming out of my charcoal starter. http://www.nakedwhiz.com/lumpdatabase/lumpbag66.htm That stuff is really dangerous. I'm gonna start looking for something else.

    Regular drinking beer for me is Bud Light. I do like Guiness alot and some of the Sam Adams products oh and Murphy's Irish Stout. If I have a few extra bucks in the pocket then I'll treat myself to Red Stripe....but at almost $9.00 a six pack that doesn't happen often.

    Just had some of my frozen brisket last nite for din-din. I had sliced it before I vacuum packed it. It was still nice and juicey. If Dad doesn't mind slicing it himself then leave it whole. But for convienence for him you might want to slice it for him.

    smoker problem, new wall residue???

    I'm thinking the paint blistered also. My gas grill did the same thing in a small area a long time ago. It's never gotten worse and has never peeled off. But like mentioned before you might want to scrub it down. If the film/paint comes off then let it dry and reapply a high temp paint.

    Pork quantity question

    I think Mossymo has a good idea. I made two 9 lb butts for a party of about 30 people. But there was a ton of other food as well. Granted there wasn't any left over's (insert sad face here). Don't forget a few ABT's for the special people.
