Got the Maverick 732 for my drum. I do not have a side shelf , so what does everyone do with the transmitter placement.I have a magnetic mount flex arm for an automotive drag light that I hung it from but the wire stant on the unit doesnt seem very strong
I may have overdone it , washed them with water, tried to keep my finger and thumb clamped down so water wouldnt get where the braid met the probe... decided to plug them back in after cleaning. The food probe is reading ambient air temp but the grate probe is showing 157
How crazy do you get cleaning these
says not to immerse in water
do you scrub all the varnish like material completely off
The braided cable is coated as well. does this get cleaned somehow
or just what it does with use

Seem to be having signal issues with my new Maverick 732. about every 30 minutes it looses signal and I have to go out to the smoker to get a signal. The receiver is only lie 30 feet away in the house

Maverick Et-73 is around 33 bucks and the ET-732 is around 60 dollars
I dont need the latest and greatest
So if I spend the extra 27 bucks for thew ET-732 what real benefit do I get
or can I get away with the older model ET-73

Still new to the UDS world. have a flat lid and use the 2 inch bung for my exhaust, no extended pipe, Intake is 3 3/4 pipe 2 have caps and 1 ball valve. Temp control seems pretty good with a 15 inch round by 8 high fire basket with 4 inch legs
