Pork Butt-How many will this feed?

Thanks All! I was thinking I might be a little short, but these are going to be more sliders with slaw and a side. And we are going to multiple houses. Anyway, I think I'll throw in some ribs or buy another smaller butt and should be good to go. Thanks again and happy holiday's everyone.

Pork Butt-How many will this feed?

Hi All, I'm smoking a port butt tomorrow for a neighborhood gathering, well a few houses anyway, and just wanted to make sure I have enough pork to do pulled pork sandwiches. I've got a 9.5lb bone in butt I picked up and we are expecting 12 adults (couples). I know the ladies won't eat that...

    Holiday Finger Foods

I've done the pork belly burnt ends and smoked meatballs which turned out fantastic. Recipes from this site I believe. All bit sized...adults and kids devoured them in no time.

    Smoking enhanced spare ribs

Hi All, Well I had spare ribs purchased for me that I am smoking on Sunday, but I just realized looking at the package further that these are enhanced with an 8% solution. Now I'm wondering if there is anything I can do ahead of time to 'unsolution' them so to speak. I'll rinse them before...

Old Country BBQ Pits Pecos Owners Thread

I have not tried but it has been something I have been thinking about as well.  I suppose it wouldn't be too hard if you had the equipment and tools for putting a rack together and welding it on.  Maybe others will chime in.

    Pork Belly Burnt Ends

They turned out really good. This was the last pic before I threw them back on for 10 minutes or so for the sauce to firm up. They were a hit at the party even the kids. Had a few smaller pieces that were overdone by me starting out with temps to hot but doing them again this weekend for...

Old Country BBQ Pits Pecos Owners Thread

Just wanted to jump in and say I am a new Pecos owner and have been very pleased so far. For the money this would be hard to beat. I can run this thing hot and fast if I want (just by using larger splits) or low and slow with smaller splits. And someone on an earlier post mentioned keeping fb...

    Pork Belly Burnt Ends

Thanks! I totally forgot to split my wood into smaller pieces which I think is why she is running hotter than normal. Just had wood delivered earlier in the week and they are a lot bigger than what I was using before. Lesson learned for the next one I throw in there.
