My opinion is if there is a question on what hose to run then the braided should be the one you use. Im not a person that says its "good enough" or it "should be ok" . Not my intent to sound preachy but I would hate to see someone get hurt or worse.

Any chance of a picture of said tape? I have an older vac master and it didn't have anything that resembled tape on the heat bar. Just curious what it looks like. No rush on the pic, this is just for learning purposes.
Thanks

Scam, its not Wayfair. I almost got snookered by a tool box a few years back. Way to good of a deal, same seller. It was a 2000 dollar box for 160 bucks. Take a big pass on that one.

I have done pepper bacon for a little kick and it always works better when added after the cure, just rub it on and smoke. If i add it to the cure there is essentially no flavor.

Great job and write up. I can get clods at the Costco, they have them by the pallet load but they are huge. Glad to hear a guy can cut them up. I was gonna buy one but they are 20+ pounds and up. Great info, especially about being better than brisket. 😉 Definitely gonna grab one now.

If it was me I would split it between the 3 and 4 rib, do one and have the other for another time. Its always better first time than reheated.
