    It's hard to tell what exactly you have , just reading about it . My gut says that it's not a sure thing that the 2 are separate . I'm not saying they aren't , but you're there and I'm not . Keep us posted .

    My thoughts are yes . You probably fried the element by doing that . There are threads on here about the light , but I would say don't have 2 power in feeds . Bypass , smoker plugs into the controller , controller to power in . No idea what else may have failed by doing it like you did .

    Never used the Dill mix , but agree with Charles , and was going to suggest grabbing the salsa mix if you see it . Uses a can of diced or crushed tomatoes I think . Makes it easy , and it's good in my opinion .
