How old is your Pitts & Spitts?
A close friend is a vendor for them in his Grill Shop in North Texas. That larger unit is an absolute work of art with metal. I actually prefer the raw natural look of all their builds.
I damn near was uprooted from a long history with Traeger! Their newest...

I was near Heathrow. Always staying near the airports when the bossman sends me out around the world!
Jeff just had to update my name because I ran across a BBQ competition team that had been using the same name since as far back as 2013. So my Instagram page and here had to have a...
To piggy back worktogthr, pellet smokers are not a good source for heats under 165-175. The very high end units can maintain these temps. I have a PID controller in my current rig that is capable of maintaining 165.
I have alternate smoke generators installed to assist with generating smoke...
The availability of entry level pellet smokers with ‘near’ direct sear capability is full of great options.
I have seen several different Pit Boss rigs that have slide away sections on the drip pan under the grate that is almost virtually over the firepot.
Many high end units like Pitts &...

My heavens. I was just in the UK. In fact I am on a plane about to land back in Texas. That PP looked amazing! Amazing enough to invite myself over! But for shame, I had to settle on some Tikka Masala near the airport last night! I was so famished I didn’t even snap a picture for my...
These are the absolute best mod I have for my Traeger. I have a 4 piece panel set of the 19.25” grates. I have a tub of mods on my Traeger. These grates are without fail the best mod I have done.
I Love them so much I am gonna get a set for my bullet smoker.

I smoke on my Traeger Grill and I Grill on my Napoleon Apollo 300 Charcoal Smoker!
Or is it I cold smoke with both and BBQ somewhere in there, hell if I know!
I have smoked cheeses, nuts, vegetables under 90 degrees (ambient was in the 80’s and the smoker or grill was in the sunlight) with the...
On Point right there!
Those GrillGrates are the best cooking invention for our outside cooking joy since outside cooking!
Our cave dwelling ancestors sure could have used them! I love mine and actually plan to get me a set to use on my bullet charcoal setup too.
If you’ve not used them flat...
You went digging up bones!
I have had 3 Traegers and have used all 3 to grill very hot with. My current rig has a drop in direct sear station that removes all the heat deflecting internals cooking directly over the firepot. I have yet to even notice any discoloration with any of the units much...
