Smoked mozzarella and bacon in a boston style deep dish pie.

Here's the dough recipe if anyone is interested in trying it out. I use a 14 pan and it's still plenty for one batch. 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast 1 1/2 teaspoons white sugar 1 1/8 cups warm water - 110 to 115 degrees F (43 to 45 degrees C) 3 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup corn oil 1 1/2...

Smoked mozzarella and bacon in a boston style deep dish pie.

I was asked for a follow up in my first noob cheese smoking thread found here. https://www.smokingmeatforums.com/threads/cold-smoked-motzarella-first-cheese-smoke.270647/ This pie had some of my first home cured/brined smoked bacon that turned out VERY well. I understand now why everyone says...

Food Court Teriyaki Chicken on the Blackstone with Q-View

Thanks rings. It was the whole stir fry mix, but only a few veggies showed up in that shot.

Food Court Teriyaki Chicken on the Blackstone with Q-View

I finally got around to trying this as fried rice bmudd. I added a tablespoon each of sesame oil rice wine vinegar to the sauce as well as a handful of chopped scallions and simmered lightly. It was awesome, thanks for sharing it!

Thanks Chile! We don't have a good bakery round here but I agree with the fattie idea. Maybe a fattie wrapped in stromboli dough :).

Le Fin. It almost looks angry. Served on a wheat bun because we need to be mindful of heart health :)

SMF I give you the bacon bomb!

First off this is not my creation but I wanted to try my hand at it. I originally saw this at our local fair at a stand touting it won best at NY fair two years in a row. Here's the start. 1 lb fresh pork belly rubbed lightly, 1 lb hatfield sweet italian sausage loaf formed about 1/4 inch...

Cold smoked motzarella, first cheese smoke.

I'll let it rest and if it's too strong I'll just mix it with more unsmoked mozz. I've done 4 lbs in one deep dish before with fresh mozz and aged provolone as well. I'll definitely put fi ished pics up.

Cold smoked motzarella, first cheese smoke.

I was instructed to skip all the work and just bring a big piece of meat next time or several moderate pieces, Warren. :P

Cold smoked motzarella, first cheese smoke.

So it will color more as it rests or should it have smoked longer? @motocrash not sure yet, my family is still pizza'ed out from all the test runs before the PA gathering, hehe.

Cold smoked motzarella, first cheese smoke.

This was two pounds of polly-o motz sliced and smoked for four hours with B&B Apple and oak blend. I vac sealed and planned to let it mellow in the fridge for two or three weeks. This will likely end up in a deep dish pizza. I just wanted some opinions on the coloring and duration from the...

    Camp Chef Longevity

The new three year warranty is very nice to hear. DLXs are 460 on amazon with free prime shipping, or the same at home depot with free ship to store I believe if you're not a prime member. I haven't had my STX for more than half a year, but use it almost every weekend still, and it's holding...

    Something different

Thanks for the reply, I have an STX and when I saw how cheap the SEs were when walmart put them on clearance and how cheap the controllers were, I had to grit my teeth a bit. If you have B&B pellets available locally at walmart give them a try. Their hickory is 100% and their apple is 70% oak...

    Something different

Wanna be, did you replace your controller on your SE with one ordered from camp chef or did it come from somewhere else? If so did you find it on their site or call them? I've read a few people catching them on sale for 35 plus 5 shipping, but never could find it in the accessories list on...
