Oh man , sorry to hear. That looks and sounds as painful as it gets.
Best of luck with the recovery, just listen to the doctors and do your best not to rush it back
Started with wings before I try a big cook, nothing too fancy. The Kamado is honestly a beast compared to my old offset , so easy to get the temperature up and steady
funny you just messaged this, because I’m currently in the midst of my first cook and it is a tank!
got to temperature very quick with significantly less charcoal than I used in my old smoker and I haven’t had to touch the dial once since I got the temp right
Awesome, this is one of the things that always appealed to me about a Kamado - set and forget. Hope I can leave a cook on before work and have it ready for when I finish!
i was the same - it sounds like we watched the same video - Smoking Dad BBQ? That video definitely convinced me to push the button. I’d been wanting a Kamado style grill for ages but the price point of the larger models put me off. In person it really is bigger and stronger than I was expecting...
Yeah it’s definitely heavy duty, even better than I was expecting in person. I had a cheap offset before that spilled out heat constantly so this will be a welcome change
Got my hands on a new smoker during Black Friday - Kamado Joe Jr.
Feels like a solid bit of kit, lot bigger in person than in the pictures. Never had a Kamado but always wanted one, think I’ll have some fun with it
Thanks. There’s a massive price difference where I live between the versions, i.e Classic 1 v Classic 3. Do you think the version upgrades are worth the price difference?
Hi all,
hope everyone is having a good weekend.
it’s the question that’s been asked a thousand times. Everywhere I read and video on YouTube I watch tends to lean towards the Kamado Joe for its innovative features. Are there any arguments for choosing the BGE over the Kamado though?
hoping to...
I’ve tried it at a cocktail bar. Feels more style over substance to be honest. I’m happy enough with a standard cocktail or beer when smoking or eating!
