A couple of pork questions
I'm planning on doing a pork butt tonight on my mini UDS. I usually use charcoal briquettes, but lump was on sale so I bought a bag. Will lump hold temp as long as briquettes? I will be smoking over night and don't want it to go cold on me while I sleep. I can usually get 7-8 hours on a basket...- gbmworks

pickled and oiled steel safe?
I was going to give my 12 year old boy a pair of nitrile gloves, a can of acetone and a bag of rags and tell him to get cleaning. pickled and oiled steel safe?
I'm puttiing a quote together on building a reverse flow for a guy and want to do it on the cheap for him. I friend of mine told me that pickled and oiled steel is a lot cheaper then plain ol' hot rolled. My concern is that the oil will cause problems. Anyone have any knowledge on this?
