    Smoke flavor on leftovers...

Not sure why you noticed it more on the ribs the first day, but I can say from my personal experience stuff tastes better to me the next day. Being in the smoke all day deadening the senses to the smoke taste.

    Englander 51-SHPG100

Yeah not sure what they come with now, but originally the pg500 had cast iron. Fast Eddy started selling the stainless on his own from pelletheads about a year after I bought my grill. Guessing since you got it from cookshack they must have picked up the production/sales.

    Englander 51-SHPG100

It is a deal fast Eddy has with new englander. So there are some small differences between this and the Cookshack units. It came out right after I got my PG500 so I didn't look too much into the differences. Great looking cooks Tweaked. You will have to update on how the stainless great...

    The much hated mustard?

10 hours is about the minimum for a butt in the 225-250 range.

    Door Blew off Smoker

Same thing can happen with a pellet grill. That is why they say open the door when lighting them.

    Pellet Grill advice

If you have any questions about it let me know. I've had mine 2.5 years and nothing but good things to say about it. Though most owners here will tell you the same about their rigs, so you just have to figure out what is different between the units and which of those features seems most...

    Pellet Grill advice

If you are wanting to replace your grill I would suggest looking at a Fast Eddy/Cookshack PG500 or PG1000. I replaced my grill and smoker and it works great for both.

    Gotta b crazy

No offense, but as I get older and wiser, I find easier ways to get the same results. The relationship with the wife has become more important than the one with my smoker. If it is your thing that relaxes you more power too you. We all need our zen. Mine has changed over time, so the...

    Hose water to wash dishes?

You can always use a food safe/rv hose. That is what I use for my beer so it doesn't have the hose taste. Though I still drink from the hose when doing yard work

    Meat safety - I think I just shorted a 10LB shoulder

6 hours at 250 isn't near enough time for pulled pork. You might have got it done in that time, but that meat doesn't look done. What was the internal temp?

    Dextrose?

As said dextrose is sugar . It is a more simple molecule than cane sugar so yeast have an easier time breaking it down. For beer making you can make invert sugar by cooking table sugar with lemon juice which will give it the same structure. Not sure what it's use in sausage making would be.

How is brown sugar measured in Q recipes?

I think you are over thinking it. Baking is chemistry and needs to be a little more exact. Rubs not so much. I just usually loosely measure the cup, teaspoon, whatever

    Broken leg....

Good luck, when our youngest pup was 7 most he had a shoulder injury. Keep him quite and still for 6 weeks the vet said. Yeah that lasted about an hour. That was a long 6 weeks.

Mak 1 star general vs fast eddy pg 500

I have the pg500. I can't compare it to the MAK, but it is both a great smoker and great grill. The grill does some of the best steaks I have ever done. It is also great at burgers or chicken thighs in zone 4. No worries about flame ups. You can fit 2 butts or a couple of small briskets...

Pellet Smoker as a grill to?

That is the great thing about the PG500 is that it has an open flame all of the time for grilling. It is a smaller area! 3-4 rib eyes or 8 or so smaller chicken thighs. Not enough for a large family but works great for me and the wife.

Pellet Smoker as a grill to?

My dogs have gotten the grease bucket a few times. For the most part they leave it alone when I cooking. When the grill cools down I store it inside. I also line it with aluminum foil and empty it fairly often. If you have yard dogs or leave a food crazy dog outside alone with it for long...

Pellet Smoker as a grill to?

Take a look at the cookshack/fast Eddie PG500 or Pg1000. I have the 500 and it is the best grill I have ever had without the smoke ability. I have had several grills and one of my favorites was a Holland because of the ability to do thighs or burgers and not worry about flare ups. Almost all...

What are the latest brisket prices?

In that part of the country I would be talking to the Jewish deli's. Bound to be able to find one to sell you a packer before they turn it into corned beef
Great deal on LEM Grinders!
