    New products from Kingsford

At the risk of sounding like a snob, I gave up briquettes long ago for lump. Mostly because of the taste it leaves, but also for the fact that reusing is harder than lump.

    Daytona 500 grub

I'm pretty sure tomorrow will be rib day at our house. Then again, The Better 9/10ths might have something up her sleeve.

    Nothing New Under The Sun...

This morning we worked on pulling all the meat off the bones of this seven pound bird. Bones in the pot for more bone broth and the meat for a pozole Verde de pollo! Can't wait!

    Nothing New Under The Sun...

I'm so fortunate that I received mine from my father-in-law, Texas Ray, and my Napoleon grill came with the rotisserie as part of the package.

    Nothing New Under The Sun...

I have have never been a stuffing kind of guy, I was scarred early by a mom who could ruin the box stuff. Bread pudding, "now that's a horse of a different color," (movie quote)! But, I've lost nearly 60 pounds over the last couple of years, so...maybe a small batch! I'll check with The Better...

    Jealous Devil

I was at the Tampa Eggfest about three years ago and they were there selling two bags for $30 (veteran discount) and it's taken me awhile to go through it. But, you know what they say, "You can never have too much charcoal, but you can have too little!"

    Jealous Devil

Whilst I was around about town yesterday, one planned stop was going to be at the HD (think orange) for some charcoal. Normally the Poplar Bluff store carries Royal Oak, but, there was an odd looking bag in its place. A closer look, and, hello! My favorite!

    Nothing New Under The Sun...

Ecclesiastes 1:9 ESV What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. I know, I rotated a buzzard not too long ago, however, there is a huge reason for it, aside from the fact that it just tastes good! My wife, (a.k.a. The...

    SB Pork Steaks

Here in Southeast MO they are easily found. These, as stated, came from the butcher at the commissary at the naval air station in Pensacola, FL. I also got StL cut ribs for $8 each and 3# chuckies for $2.50/. We go back in two weeks to sit with the MIL during her chemo session and we're coming...

I made some amazing St. Louis ribs yesterday

Kevin, I have to say that you did it all wrong. There ain't no pictures! Seriously, yeah, you did everything you should do with the 3-2-1 method. If they were tasty, then it was a perfect cook!

    SB Pork Steaks

For tonight's game we set out a couple of nice pork steaks from the NAS Pensacola commissary. The Better 9/10ths worked on a couple of twice baked potatoes with broccoli and cheddar, and rounded it out with a Greek salad and more of her sourdough bread. The meat... Simple SPG KJ at about...
