Wanted to try out the vortex last night. Whipped up an apple pie, did half a ring of kingsford and had no issue of getting a nice 400 degree heat. Haven't cut into it yet, will tonight for dessert after chicken leg qaurters using the vortex!
Injected the ham with a mixture of
1/3 cup grade A maple syrup
2 table spoons brown sugar
And a stick of butter.
The recipe cam from Jeff's news letter. Also brushed some on the ham and did a coating of Jeff's rub.
