...do hot dogs in it all the time . Be using it today for some wings . My son uses the bake setting and does glazed carrots in it . really good .
So it's more than just an air fryer , but it comes in really handy ...

I found this one, which has the added bonus of adding a third sensor for the dethatched heated garage. The Garage sensor would be a nice addition because the pilot goes out sometimes and then it gets cold AF and bad things happen.
100 % and I'm glad you did . I do a lot of smoking at 200 on the pellet grill . Like you say above it renders down slowly and gets plenty of smoke that way .
My go to lately , with pulled beef or pork , is smoke at 200 using the pellet grill . I'll let it run all day / several hours like that ...
Brisket is the king of bbq in my opinion, and I suck at making them.
Rib are easy run your smoker up to 250 to 260 degrees. Once your temps have maintained toss some St Louis rib on that have been dusted with your favorite rub. Smoke them for 3.5 to 4 hour total, no need to wrap for ribs that...
I noticed the battery (built in) on My @Inkbirdbbq IBBQ-4T 4 probe thermometer started acting wonky at the South Florida gathering where the battery life after full charge seemed to be draining much faster than I'm used to. Still works fine when connected to your average pocket sized battery...
...about 225) for a few hours then turn up the temp to finish. Never would have thought about this. What P setting gets me to about 225? Would have to get a fire box thermometer too. I'd prefer the machine settings alone as opposed to adding a smoke tube if I wanted a heavier smoke.
Thank you
...come across for her cooks instead mine, hah hah.
@schlotz we try to make sure the stone is at least 900+ at the back, measured by an IR thermometer, I shoot for 950. If the back is 950 the front of the stone is usually around 800 I think. We turn the heat down to low just before launching...
...temp increase you should have no problem finishing sausage in 5 hours or less assuming you know the actual pit temp with an independent thermometer probe. I’m thinking that getting your process wrinkled out may help a bunch.
Many of us here now use some sort of water or poach finish or steam...
I am having a heck of a time maintaining temperature in my Masterbuilt pro vertical smoker. I am using the 12” cast iron pan for the chunks and run propane for the heat.
What are your recommendations for keeping the temp at a stable level?
Every time I smoke something I have to pretty much...
...the casing to set or bond with the casing. As the meat mix inside heats up the fats and juices will start to flow, this is why a riding thermometer is not very accurate, the meat mix must be bonded to the casing before the fluid movement or you get fat and moisture between the meat and...
HI there and welcome!
I second getting a separate thermometer, the onboard ones are always trash.
I prefer 4 probe ones that use RF (radio) wave to send the info to a separate unit you keep inside the house with you over the bluetooth ones that come with an app on your phone.
4 probes allows...
Unfortunately my 4-probe Inkbird thermometer base no longer charges up. It's lasted many years and has been great, but I was gifted a single Meater probe and that thing is amazing.... just painful for the wallet. Looking to hear what your personal experience has been with Inkbird Wireless...
...I did have another probe in yesterday reading the smoker temp and it was +/-5 degrees or so of the PID. It is a cheaper wireless thermometer but figured the PID was accurate. The fan kit I came across on aubers site when I was shopping for the PID. I initially thought it wouldn’t hurt and...
...— that’s really helpful for checking accuracy. My last chuck roast ended up a bit burnt even though it only showed 165°F internally. I couldn’t believe my thermometer could be off that much, but I did buy it from Amazon, I try and stick to the brand selling it themselves, but it could be fake.
UH! search wireless thermometer here and see how many cost 5X as much and just die shortly after being bought. If this dies I am not out that much $. If it lasts ... bargain.
