Love pickled eggs. Especially good when done in brine left after eating a jar of pickled beets!
Another thing you don't see in bars anymore are pickled sausages.
Love homegrown 'maters and love cottage cheese with a lot of black pepper on it, but never thought of combining the two! Will definitely be trying it soon.

I clean the spit while the bird is resting. Only takes a few minutes. The hardware soaks in soapy water until after supper and then a little brush makes quick work of it.

Pretty early for homegrowns. Here we wait until after Mothers Day to plant outside. I've cheated by 2 or 3 weeks several times and lost plants due to frost. I do have a few Celebrities up to 2 1/2 inches diameter, so may be having our first BLTs in 3 weeks or so...

I'm with you. Forget the can and just use the stand. One of the 3 best ways to cook a chicken. Spatchcocked and rotisserie are great too, especially when done over live fire.
