    Did ever notice...

    Tips for MES Owners

TSP is more of a degreaser than a polish. I don't think it would help that "burnt spot" which is really oxidation from the heat. No, do not intend to clean the entire interior. I have only cleaned the racks, water pan, door and window.

    Tips for MES Owners

I clean my MES 40 with a solution of trisodium phosphate (TSP) you can get it at the hardware store. You may want to wear gloves because it "de-fats". But, it works really well.

Mail Order Wood Chips For My MES40

The selection of wood chips around here is dismal at best. We have a Home Depot and a Lowes and neither have anything other than Mesquite chips. So, I wanted to ask if there is a preferred provider for wood chips in various "flavors".

Got my new MES40 the photo journey starts today!

Well, I finally bit the bullet and bought the MES40. The cheapest I could find was at Sam's Club for $299.98. Unfortunately, I hurt my back gardening before I could unbox the MES40. But, I did take a few pictures of the box. I plan to take pictures along my journey of unpacking, assembling...

Hello from The Land of Enchanment!

Currently, I do not own a smoker. I have always loved good smoked ribs. I want to make my own. I have a friend that promised me he was making a smoker from a propane tank. But nothing yet. I'm not sure that type of smoker I want/need. The attraction of a "real" smoker with wood fire and...
