When chuck went to double the cost of brisket I stopped using chuck (unless it was on sale) and started using brisket for almost everything ground or stewed, unless it was clearance beef or I wanted those little nuggets of the Denver muscle for steak.
Another pro tip for everyone...
Appreciate that joe. Fyi the injection is the same brand as the Cajun butter but it's different. A creole garlic marinade injection. Delicious on pork and beef
There is a thread on this recipe here. Been posted here about 6 times, I converted all the odd batch size and units, they are all same recipe. Might be from diggingdogfarm originally.

I warned all of you several weeks ago that with having all the welding projects finished I was gonna start catching up on some cooking. I wasn't kidding :emoji_laughing: Been toying with this idea for a few days now and finally decided to pull the trigger yesterday. Had about 3/4 of a pound of...
Seen something a long time ago about, beeftenderloin with a pecan crust. I think pork would be better ( cause I like my beef to taste like beef) but it might be worth a try.
This is actually the first meal I made with the Chipotle Morita Chili paste that I got from our friend Jeff ( @jcam222 ). The skirt steak roll-up that I recently posted was done so at the recommendation of a friend here so it got posted first. Being that this particular dinner came out amazingly...
Thanks Jeff. You'll get no arguments from me about the quality of the cap steaks. The only thing I might give a slight edge to is the CPB tenderloin.
Very much appreciate the kind words Matt. Those are actually the sear grates that came with my Rec Tec 700. I just use them on several different...
I used to think that the tenderloin was not such a great cut as far as flavor goes, just tender. Well, CPB proved me wrong!!
Thanks Dave but here is the truth. Beef comprises most of our menu along with a little pork. No chicken, no seafood, no lamb. Tracy understands how difficult it is for...
I bought it a couple times on super specials from SNF. I got 20 lbs of their beef cuts which is trimmings from tenderloin, ribeye and strip. Paid $200 for 20 lbs shipped. I’d do that again. Thanks me other time they had a deal on filets. I’m all about the deal on it lol. If I wasn’t deal...
Thanks so much. With the wife being the Minister of Finance as well as being supportive, it makes a big difference.
Yes sir Keith. You did in fact read that correctly. There are a lot of great benefits ordering from CPB wholesale but the one drawback is that I have to buy in quantity. I can's...
Greetings….needed a break from chaos of sugar tantrums and Santa questions. Good times! Lots of cooking to catch up on, tonight:
BeefTenderloin, bacon weave, truffle sauce lather .
Beef Loin Trimmed, saved some for chili later:
Bacon weave….I need to practice this a bit:
Truffle Sauce on the...
Thanks KC! A little heat would be a nice addition!
Many thanks XR! It adds just a nice overtone and doesn't over power the beef!
Thanks Bear! Tender bites of good ness!
...days recently. After working outside in it all day, some of these are done inside to get a break from the heat.
First at bat is a beeftenderloin quesadilla. Had some filet mignon left from a dinner a couple nights previously so this seemed a good way to use it up. Start with a burrito sized...
I’m new to the forum. I just got my GMG DB pellet grill. But I’m not new with my Anova SV. You will find that many things are both easier and better with SV as part of the cook. Some of you are cooking longer than my experience tells me I need to. But the beauty of SV, is that it won’t overcook...
...come out? Ours was a huge success. Was not gonna hijack your thread so I just took one pic of the finished bowl.
This was made with beeftenderloin tips and no beans. sorry, it's a Texas thing :emoji_wink: Deep, rich savory chili flavor, super tender meat, and a beautiful balance of spices...
