I saw a YouTuber yesterday do a variation of beer can with a pineapple. He just cut straight down the sides of the core, leaving about 2" of the bottom, then slid the chicken on that for the ride. Not sure that would appeal to my taste buds, thought.
Small world. My dad got a job offer from Hitachi in 1971 (somewhere in the Portland area), and we were going to move from Seattle to Tigard. For whatever reason, it didn't happen. They moved back to Tillamook in the mid-90's.
