...smell. I'd have to say I probably got a more pronounced smoke flavor & aroma with my old MES and my Bradley electric smokers than I do with my Yoder but I can tell you the quality & success with the Yoder has been exceptional.
With that being said, I'm in the market for a stick burner. Man...
The only GM grill I have ran was that one. Never been around another and not sure if they still work the same or not. I’m running a Yoder ys640 now. I’ve never been on a RecTeq so I really only know what I read about them here which is all very positive,
but that brings me to a question for you...
...and 1 part Kosher salt and dry cured them for 11 hours and after the rinse put them under a fan for 3 hours.
A Smoke tube was added to the Yoder and it didn’t take long to reach temps.
This is the only pic I took and man they turned out crazy good with the right amount of salt taste.
Now...
...and Pork loin with S&P. Both rubbed the night before, the loin got a hit of Citrus/Rosemary rub before going on the smoker.
Both went on the Yoder at 275 for somewhere between 45min to an hour, I forget, more focused on the IT and making sauces. The sauces were a cognac cream mushroom for...
I have the Yoder ys640 I’ve owned it since 2017. The thing is built like a tank, it cooks perfect in Colorado cold winter as well. I cook 2-3 times a week on it pretty much year around. So it gets used heavy and is very reliable. This last year I finally had to do a new fan kit and upgrade the...
...find a pellet grill that is able to produce a satisfactory amount of smoke flavor. That's from experience cooking on most the majors from ZGrills, RecTec, Traeger, Grilla, Pit Boss, and Campchef all the way up to Yoder rigs. Some are better than others, but can't match the flavor of wood and...
...on a WSM and learned a lot. Eventually moved to a pellet smoker and I love it. Much less fuss and it’s not affected by weather. When I was shopping for the pellet smoker my top three were MAC, Rec Teq, and Yoder. But shop around and make a list of features/build requirements you must have.
I had a 480, and it easily handled a brisket. I filled the racks with Polish sausage smoked at 165, and they came out great. You need to rotate them once in a while.
Eric, if you stated this already… my apologies if I overlooked. But, really wanting to try this. Would you mind just giving a small breakdown of the quantity used of the ingredients you listed? Thanks bud.
over a decade ago my top three were Req Tec, Yoder, and MAC. No regrets on the req tec! I passed on the Yoder because of weight and rust (even though I know it doesn't affect performance), MAC is very nice - my old butcher had one running all the time out front, but it was over budget. Any of...
...in the pellet hopper and see where they are getting out. Has to be a gap, in your case a good one.
I recently replaced the fans and such on my Yoder 640. Removed the fan panel and there were pellets in there, maybe a 1/2 cup. This was after about 6 years of serious use. I can’t figure out...
