    A little pulled pork

Bbq'd up some pork shoulder yesterday. Used my own rub recipe, and modified sauce and finishing sauce recipes from here. This is my best so far!

    Greetings from Mesa, Arizona

I have an Oklahoma Joe's smoker too. It leaked quite a bit when I got it. I tried some fiberglass industrial oven gasket, which helped, but didn't completely fix it and ended up peeling off. I would recommend getting some Lava Lock Nome Gasket. It works really, really well and has a self...

I see that you have been in here for about a month and a half, so welcome, a little late. There's a lot of great info and good people on this site. I have an Oklahoma...

    First Brisket!

So yesterday was a complete success! My first brisket came out perfectly tender with an awesome smoke ring. The flavor was unreal! I'm glad I decided to use as much room in my smoker as possible. My pork butt was super moist and pulled apart fairly easily. The finishing sauce from @SoFlaQuer...

    First Brisket!

I finally have the time and money to do it, so I bought a 8.3lbs Brisket, a pork butt, a rack of babyback ribs, and a couple of different sausages from the butcher shop today. Also, I'm going to make some ABTs, potato salad, and some corn on the cob. I made up my rub, which starts off with SPOG...

Safe thread sealant for grease trap drain pipe

There is no nipple. It's a 1"steel pipe that goes straight to the baffle plate/grease trap straight through the cooking chamber wall. I did put RTV around this section though.
