40lbs. will get you 40+ hours low and slow easily, its the high temps that eat them up, but your usually not cooking over thirty minutes at high temps- Will Smoke

Pitt boss 7 Series info
To your first three questions yes yes & yes, now i haven't cooked on it outside summer, only used for the long ones aka pork/brisket... it is golden as long as you keep water in pan so it doesn't overheat (which it probably won't in winter but who knows) what i do like about it is the humongous...- Will Smoke
