    Pretty disappointing actually. MES 30. I tried removing the wood chip filler tube, opening vent, etc. If there are issues using these in a MES, they should tell you not to buy it for them. I'm more upset withthe money wasted on the pellets vs the tray.

    When you say crutch (wrap), how air tight? I assume you leave your yemp probe in? I gave up on brisketsa whike ago but am lookjng to try again. I was definitely pulling too early.

    Emergency: Just finished the rub on my pork butt and my MES is tripping the GFCI and not turning on.

    I can almost guarantee you that all your outlets are not GFCI. Find an outlet inside not near water like inyour family room or something. If it trips a regular breaker, your smoker's probably done.

    Are you using an extension cord? Do you have a non GFCI outlet you can try?
